We are looking for a Behavioral Scientist or Support Pedagogue for the Housing Support Group

The Housing Support Group is part of Eskilstuna Municipality's social psychiatry. Our clients have mental variations such as ADHD, ADD, depression, or psychotic issues, often in combination with substance abuse. We work from the clients' homes. The support is tailored to each person's needs and is provided both at home and outside. The goal is for everyday life to function and feel meaningful.

The unit is divided into two groups that work closely together and consists of about 16 employees in total. Each group has its own group leader who provides support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Whether you are hired as a behavioral scientist or support pedagogue, you will be part of a team with three to four colleagues. You will be responsible for a client group of approximately 40-45 individuals. In the role of behavioral scientist, you will also have greater responsibility for documentation, supervision of colleagues, and the overall educational work.

You will visit clients at home and provide support based on their needs and interests. You will make assessments, adaptations, develop educational tools, and document your work. An important part of the job is to plan and structure your own workday. You will also collaborate with relatives, physiotherapists, daily activities, social services, and the Social Insurance Agency.

Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, but some weekends may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained behavioral scientist or support pedagogue, or has other education that we consider equivalent. You need to have a B driver's license for manual cars, be able to cycle, and be able to work in homes where animals are present. If you have work experience in psychiatry or substance abuse and have worked with clients who have mental variations, we see this as a positive.

As a person, you are secure in yourself, have a good view of humanity, and are attentive to the needs and feelings you encounter. You have the ability to guide and provide empathetic support but can also set boundaries when necessary. Stressful situations may arise, and it is important that you can remain calm, adapt to the situation, and are comfortable making your own decisions. Since we work in teams, it is also important that you are flexible and have good collaboration skills. In addition, you are also good at structuring, planning, and taking responsibility.
